About Rx Tech Preparatory School

Rx Tech Prep Pharmacy Technician School is locally owned and operated in Rockford, Illinois. We are committed to serving individuals interested in pursuing a career as a Pharmacy Technician by offering high quality Pharmacy Technician education in a condensed course - at an affordable cost. Rx Tech Prep now offers online pharmacy technician classes.

Our courses are taught only by licensed pharmacists with experience in hospital interning, consulting in elderly retirement homes, managing retail pharmacy (a fortune-five-hundred company) and teaching pharmacy technician preparatory courses. Our instructors know first- hand the successes a career in pharmacy may have and realize that technicians help to make this possible. Technicians play a vital role in everyday operations in the pharmacy. Rx Tech Prep is dedicated to training and educating students to thrive in the field of pharmacy.

Our curriculum has a strong emphasis on pharmacy math because we understand that many individuals may be discouraged with this subject. We strive to help students get through tough pharmacy calculations by offering additional lessons geared toward understanding math, and practicing competencies of mathematical problems. Our goal is to make pharmacy math understanding, easy, and fun!

Our course assists individuals that are interested in pursuing a career as a Pharmacy Technician. We have flexible class schedules that include night or weekend classes in a variety of locations in the Rockford area. Our instructors are dedicated to providing the essentials of training and education needed for success as a Pharmacy Technician. The 40 hour course meets once weekly for ten weeks, and upon successful completion of the course each student will receive a certificate of completion.

Rx Tech Prep is approved by the Division of Private and Vocational Schools of  the Illinois Board of Higher Education and the Wisconsin Educational Approval Board.
